Product Policy

Terms and Conditions

Thermo/Probes Inc. and Alloy Engineering LLC are custom-manufactured products made to the customer’s specifications. Products may only be returned if they have verified manufacturing defects. An RMA must be requested within 14 days of product receipt and Quality Control (QC) inspection. No product returns will be accepted without prior RMA authorization.

Return Material Authorizations (Quality)

• RMAs may be issued for defects in materials or workmanship after submission of a customer Non-Conformance Report, reviewed and acknowledged by TPI/AEC’s QC department.
• TPI/AEC will not pay return shipping charges until a defect is confirmed. Unauthorized use of TPI/AEC’s shipping account will result in a charge back.
• TPI/AEC reserves the right to reject, refund, repair, or replace products at its discretion.
• Returns are to be packaged and packed in the condition your parts would be sent to your customer

Cancellations

• Before Material Allocation: $25.00 paperwork fee.
• After Material Allocation: $25.00 fee + material charges.
• During Production: $25.00 fee + material and cutting charges.
• In Full Production: Invoiced at 100%.
• Completed Products: Invoiced at 100% + stocking fee.

Return Material Authorizations (Customer Inventory)

• Products placed into customer inventory require an RMA.
• Items in inventory for less than 60 days can be reshipped for a convenience fee if the original invoice and restocking fees are paid in full.
• Items in inventory for more than 60 days can be reshipped at an adjusted price index (original vs. current cost), provided the original invoice and restocking fees are fully paid.

Warranty

• TPI/AEC products are covered by a 1-year Manufacturer’s Warranty unless otherwise stated. This warranty applies to products that [has been] in service ONLY.
• TPI/AEC will test any products under warranty for suspected manufacturing defects. If a defect is confirmed, a replacement or alternative solution will be provided.
• TPI/AEC product that is placed in the Customer’s facility awaiting use, is subject to the conditions/atmosphere of that said facility and is not covered under warranty. TPI/AEC products are covered by a 1-year Manufacturer’s Warranty unless otherwise stated. Replacement Orders and Credits

If a replacement is needed before the return process is complete, a new purchase order may be required. If a defect is confirmed, credit will be issued on the original purchase order.

Corrective actions by TPI/AEC, if required, will be completed within 20 business days unless otherwise communicated.

Custom-manufactured products are not eligible for return unless a verified manufacturing defect is present.
